Batch Notes:
Batch Number 5 - Released
16th March 2011
This year's blend sees a combination of barrel aged rum with a nine
year old dark Tokay; combining the rich sweet flavours of treacle, toffee
and caramel with wafts of aged wood, roasted nuts and vanilla. The
darkest of the blends to date, Batch #5 has a subtle smell and rich taste
lending to its extended aging and maturation process.
Batch Number 4 - Released
14th June 2010
A very soft barrel of rum cut with Highway Wines white port and
Frontignac. The spirit has the typically Frontignac nose of roses and lychees.
The delicate flavours of this classic wine leaves the pallete quickly to
be left with the caramel vanilla tones of the rum. This by far the
smoothest of the small batches to date.
Batch Number 3 - Released
3rd July 2009
A dark, highly aromatic barrel of rum cut with Highway Wines white
port and Muscat. A dark strongly aromatic spirit.. A strong sultana nose
and a richly sweet taste on the back of the palette. Almost overpowering
in aroma and taste this full blooded sensation is just made for snifting
from a brandy balloon in front of a wood fire. Forget the ice.
Batch Number 2 - Released
8th August 2008
A dark, well oaked barrel of rum cut with Highway Wines white port and
dark sherry. A complicated drink with a strong sherry note. Again a
strong flavor of honey over the back of the palette. Extremely smooth
over the front of the palette for a sweet sipper. Best served over ice.
This is distillers favourite blend.
Batch Number 1 - Released
November 2007
A light and soft barrel of rum cut with Highway Wines white port. A
port note with a strong flavor of honey over the back of the palette. A
lingering vanilla flavor. The port flavour distinctively follows the rum
at the rear pallet and lingers.
